Privacy Policy

The intent of the app is to educate and connect users to resources as needed. All of this can be done anonymously.

There is no requirement for the user to provide any identifying information in order for the app to function. If the user would like to receive specific resources located in their area, then they can provide a zipcode, but this is optional. The app uses this zipcode to connect to the 211info API which returns a set of resources specific to that zip code. The zip code is then retained on the device only and not saved with the users' session data on the server.

All data entered into the app (besides the optional zip code) is saved to a database. Only authorized OHSU Confidential Advocate Program users have access to this database.

The data is saved for 2 reasons:

  • To facilitate a conversation with a user if the user contacts OHSU's CAP and discloses their Respect For All ID to CAP. CAP can review data that the user provided via the app.
  • To understand the overall user base of the app to help foster further awareness and education on preventing and reporting abuse.
